    Admin response

We value your feedback regarding the removal of the grouped view in the Neos Value section and apologize for any inconvenience caused. Our goal was to enhance your Neos experience with the new value grid, which offers improved navigation and future scalability.

We are working on providing an alternative path to quickly access a similar grouped view, that should be available in the next few days.

In the meantime, you can still view grouped information by value code in a few alternative ways in the value tab:

    • Subtotals: Located above the value table, it provides monetary values grouped by value code.

    • Settlement Calculator: Find grouped views in the Reductions tab.

To replicate the grouped view in advanced search:

    • Use Advanced Search for value.

    • Set criteria to Case equals [select a case].

    • Customize displayed columns.

    • Apply sum action for Total Amount, Reduction, and Amount Due.

    • Group by the Value Code column.

We will be reaching out to firms on our plans to enhance the grid.

Thank you for your continued support.

When are we getting the group option back to the value tab. This advance search is useless. We now have to jump around from screen to screen. When we are in the advance search tab, we can't see our black bar, client name, DOL none of this information is available to us unless we go back and forth. What a BIG mistake in changing this option, I HATE the new advance search.

Add the option for "Group by this Column" like we have when doing an advanced search at the very least! We have specialized groups that do not need to see all value codes at once and it can be overwhelming for new users.

Following up on the GROUP view in value tab. When are we getting group back? Based on this change our firm and others are in the process of shopping around for a new system if this is not fixed.

Why haven't you added back grouping the value tab yet? You said on 9/29/23 that "a similar grouped view ... should be available in the next few days." No reasonable person could consider that an accurate statement. It's been a month. The real question is: how did this happen? Why are you so unfamiliar with how your customers use your own product? Please promptly provide a "similar grouped view."

Put the ACTION features on the value tab, it makes me sick having to organize the value tab every time we enter the tab, it looks messy and not useful. I can't understand why this unnecessary change was made. I hate going into the value tab now. The original is what we need on the value tab.

The value update is still inefficient. Please, just give us back the original.

Very degrading update if you ask me. Our firm is not at all pleased with this update. Not only is it creating conflict but it's also hindering our efficiency. Thanks alot Neos.

What were you thinking???? Removing the date column from expenses list window is ridiculous. Everything in this industry is date driven. Please put this back.

    Change it back NOW.

We are looking to switch to FILE VINE if we don't get GROUP back. This change is costing firms a lot of MONEY & TIME. It is clear to me that the person who came up with this change has never worked at a PI firm or with settlement numbers. Can we please get an update. The last update was 9/29/23, it indicates changes should be seen in a few days, it's been longer than a few days and nothing. Some of us are checking in daily to get status.

Our firm heavily relies on the grouped view function. The alternatives stated above (subtotals, settlement calculator) do not give the ease of access or a break down of the values within the group. These features are highly valuable and necessary for firms who practice PI, Contingency cases, etc.

I spoke with an adjuster from an insurance company and told her I apologize because I'm having to do a lot of clicking around to negotiate and she said every attorney's office she speaks to is complaining about their new system update!!!!!

Checking back. Any update on the return of the Value tab? The workaround is just not efficient and creates unnecessary work. Please fix.

I appreciate the work around, but it is way less efficient. the subtotal button still exists, so it makes no sense as to why this change was made. It is running the exact same report as the work around, above, but you just removed the functionality. Seriously, if you removed the subtotal button, I would kind of understand this change, but why did you leave the subtotal button there and then make it useless? Please make the subtotal button perform a subtotal only on the party selected. If I want a subtotal (for whatever reason I'll never know) for all parties I can leave that filter blank.

The update and loss of the ability to group Value cost has added so much work and time to our firm's operations. We also use the excel format for sending cost to lien holders and for our settlements. The view of the group Value tab is used by everyone at our firm. Please revert back to the former setting.

But this does not provide the start and end dates of treatment by each provider. Now I have to go into each provider to get that information when it used to be all in one spot - dates, individual totals and grand total. What a mess you've created. Just change it back to the way it was. Do you know how much time I have to spend now flipping around through 20-30 providers to find dates of treatment and individual charges? We are very busy and I don't have time to do this because a ludicrous change was made. I think we will end up having to look for another software program.

We will start looking to change software if this change is not reversed. Our office is busy enough, now this change is backing our office up 100%. I had to work overtime on the first day of this change. I went from depending on the software to having to create my own excel spread sheet, my work has tripled. By far WORST idea in Needles/Neos history. None of the suggestion on your response is helpful. I need to see a date range of treatment, balance, total charges all in one section instead now all your new ways have me bousing back in forth for information. The only way to get this back is by implementing the GROUP exactly to the way it was before PLEASE!!!

It was suggested to use the "subtotal" function to get total medicals. Okay - that works, but it does not provide the start and end dates for each medical provider which now have to be looked up individually. I.E. flipping through multiple screens when it used to be all on one screen that somebody decided to remove, apparently without much forethought.

The "subtotal" does not provide the start and end dates of treatment. When drafting demand letters, I need (by provider) the start date, end date, and total amount charged. Please put the Value Tab back the way it was. I don't want a work around that adds additional work!
