agree, and if there is a thread like text or email and you read them all as they appear in the thread, then all the separate notifications that are part of the thread must be automatically marked read otherwise you have to open and close all dozen of them !!! what a complete waste of valuable time and effort; computer programs are supposed to be smarter than this...
