Our firm is currently using Wacom drawing tablets in a creative way to gather digital signatures from in-person clients inside the Neos PDF editor. This is obviously non-ideal but it works. We would prefer to have signature pad support for external devices such as a Topaz signature pad or similar equipment. I am told no such support exists inside of Neos, to include the idea of coding our own integration to make the device talk to Neos. This idea would greatly enhance our client experience as the drawing tablets can be finicky.
Thanks for the upvotes on the Neos idea! We're really hoping Neos takes this suggestion on board, especially since our current method with drawing tablets isn't ideal for signature collection. We have explored all available avenues in regards to this problem.
Using DocuSign isn't a feasible alternative for us. Many of our clients are elderly and not comfortable with technology, so it's not practical or respectful to ask them to adapt. It feels out of place to discuss paperwork in person and then send digital signature requests to their phones. A straightforward signature pad would be much more appropriate and user-friendly.
We've also considered using an external touchscreen monitor where clients can sign directly within Neos' PDF editor. But again, we're looking for a solution that feels natural and easy for our clients. A proper, simple-to-use signature pad integrated with Neos would be the ideal solution for us.
I mention Topaz signature pads because they appear to be the "industry standard", so to speak. However, we are open to using any brand, any model, anything that will communicate with Neos directly.
Thank you for reading and your consideration.
